Saturday 6th December 2003 - FITA 18 - Amlwch Leisure Centre
Apologies to those of you who may have turned up relaxed in the knowledge from the web site that a nice Portsmouth shoot awaited you, only to be confronted with a FITA 18 round....and no ordinary FITA 18 round either!!
The webmaster had not been informed of this change, but then may be that was the plan?? If we'd all known that we would be shooting at three individual half face FITA 18 targets (6 - 10 scoring rings), we naturally would have spent the previous night preparing both physicallly and mentally.
The Gent's Recurve winner might even have got to bed earlier than 3am that morning!!
The three individual half faces were aligned vertically therefore the main choice for the day was whether to shoot top-down or bottom-up? Occasionally it was a case of see where the first arrow went and adjust accordingly.
It shouldn't have made a difference that these were half faces and three individual faces, but it did.
Most people's scores were down compared to what they might expect on a normal FITA 18 round.
Congratulations to the winners and the full results were:
